It all started over a century ago for Nidecker, in 1887 when Henri I Nidecker founded the company, specializing in bending wood. Before it turned into Nidecker snowboards, the company actually started making skis in 1912.
After a few years of success in the ski industry, Nidecker, now lead by Henri IV saw the opportunity to take a new direction, into a sport which was rapidly gaining popularity. yes, snowboarding! So in 1984, the brand released their first handcrafted snowboards and in 1990 already had a full line of snowboards (men, women, and junior), and also Nidecker bindings and Nidecker boots.
Since that time, Nidecker's focus has been primarily on snowboarding and bringing joy to all the riders out there. The family tradition for innovation is kept within the company and its successors continue exploring and developing the brand onto new horizons with each season.
